   About the capacity of a 500ml container is good (for each compartment). We want to have enough space for keeping the money for a while, not too big as then it might seem like an impossible task to fill it up. We do not want them to take up too much space too as it has to be displayed at a convenient place in our room for easy access.
   
3. A lid that can be opened
   So that we can retrieve and count our money as and when we want to, with ease and we can keep dollars in it by opening the lid
   
4. With a slot that can allow us to insert coins easily
   So that we can drop our coins with ease into the slot anyway
   
5. Kids-friendly material
   Non-breakable transparent plastic is most kids-friendly
   
6. Top opening of each compartment that is big enough for a small hand to go through
   Makes it easy to retrieve notes and coins by putting hand in to reach
7. Other good-to-have accessories/ features
8. Money clips to clip notes in the money-box
   Stickers for personalization of name and names of each compartment
   Erasable marker pens for tracking amounts, etc
